We all know very well that Mozilla has in recent years, done a unique job with Firefox. In addition to improving its browser, it has also managed to give us new features and open doors to new markets. Now, according to the latest reports, Mozilla just launched an open source virtual reality browser.

Its latest proposal seems to follow market trends and focuses on the new forms of reality available. This brings Firefox Reality, the browser for virtual reality and augmented reality.

It is too early for Firefox Reality to be used to its full potential, but Mozilla has decided to make known what it has been creating and this new browser is the perfect example of what the company can create.

Firefox Reality is the browser that will soon be used in virtual reality and augmented reality helmets, bringing Internet browsing to these new areas.

Proving its versatility and adaptability, Mozilla has announced that Firefox Reality is the first open-source multi-platform mixed-reality browser. Opera already has its proposal in this field, but it is closed and with no possibility of access to its code.


The idea behind Mozilla is to provide a browser that can be used on any platform, regardless of the manufacturer or system being used, ensuring access to the Internet without barriers and without the need for special and/or exclusive technologies.

For now, Mozilla has already tested Firefox Reality on a wide range of devices. Moreover, it has also confirmed its correct functioning in HTC Vive Focus, Gear VR and Google Daydream, but support for more devices of virtual reality and augmented reality will arrive soon.
